Christmas Eve

by Adrienne on December 31, 2009

Christmas Eve morning we got up and headed over to Livingston Tennessee to have Christmas Eve with Eric’s family. The first stop was to Eric’s dad’s house.

Emma loved her new Fancy Nancy books.

Wesley got a blue Mustang GT. His favorite car. I can’t imagine why.

Thank you Peepaw and Rhonda for all of the neat gifts!

Next, we headed over to Eric’s Mom’s for Christmas dinner. The kids opened their presents from Mimi and Papaw before the rest of the family got there.

Emma actually loves getting clothes and always exclaims ” Oh how beautiful”.

Money!

Thank you Mimi and Papaw for all the wonderful gifts!

Gosh I love this little boy!

Reese came along with us and wore her new sweater.

Merry Christmas Papaw!

Emma sampling the cookies.

The whole family.

Emma and Sydney at the kids table.

This is Wesley and Emma’s Great Great Grandma Arney. We always try to get a picture of her with the great great grandkids. The only reason I’m in this picture is because I’m pretty much holding Emma and Sydney down!

Emma and Sydney were waiting patiently to open presents.

Maa looking all pretty and Christmasey

No, Wesley did not get Vanicream skin care cream. Eric’s mom works for a dermatologist.

Sydney got a new grocery cart and Emma was really wanting to play with it. Sydney was so sweet and shared. They were so cute walking around the house with the grocery cart together, with their babies inside. ( Emma had put her bow on herself that’s why it looks so weird.)

Emma was ready to be nestled all snug in her bed.

Finally, we headed home to get ready for Christmas morning!!!!

It’s been several weeks since we went to the annual Christmas cabin party with Eric’s family, but for documentation here are some pictures.

The whole family.

The matriarchs of the family.

Can’t wait until next year!

Check back tomorrow for Christmas Eve pictures!

16 weeks

by Adrienne on December 30, 2009

I can’t believe how fast this pregnancy is flying by. I am already 16 weeks. I guess that’s what happens when you already have 2 children to take care of. I’m feeling pretty good, the nausea and extreme fatigue are starting to finally subside.  Thank goodness! It was pretty rough there for a while. I decided to start taking pictures of myself to help document my pregnancy. So I am very reluctantly putting this picture up.  Just please keep in mind that I already have 2 kids so you supposedly start showing a little sooner.

No, it’s not twins.

Yes, I’m sure.

I know… I’m HUGE!

We are really getting anxious to find out if sweet pea is a boy or a girl. The big ultrasound is scheduled for January 28th. That seems so far away! I really don’t have any feelings on if it’s a boy or a girl, but if I had to guess I’d say boy. The Chinese birth chart says it’s a girl, but it was wrong with both Emma and Wesley.

The thing I’ve been craving lately is chips and salsa.

My maternity clothes are starting to fit.

I’ve started feeling little sweet pea moving around. ( Eric hasn’t felt it yet.)

I passed my first gestational diabetes test at the Dr. last time. Thank you to everyone who was praying.

I cry so easily. Mostly at sad commercials and movies. ( The Folgers Christmas commercial got me every time.)

P.S.

We have TONS of Christmas pictures to share, but we are still going through and editing them. I will have some up later this week.

Christmas decorations

by Adrienne on December 23, 2009

I should be in the kitchen right now cooking up a storm and I actually have to go out later to pick up a present that we had engraved, but instead I think it would be much more fun to post some pictures of our Christmas decor.

I’ll start out with my favorite Christmas decoration. We splurged on this a couple of years ago. I wanted to have a nice nativity set for our family and we have really enjoyed this one. I think it’s beautiful.

The kids have one too.

This is Emma’s tree. We kept the ornaments to a minimum this year because one of her favorite things to do is rearrange all the ornaments on the tree. I’d like to do more to it next year.

Wesley’s tree has lots of his ornaments that he has made over the years.

This is the tree in our dining room. I’m not very happy with how it’s decorated and I have a few ideas of what I’d like to do with it next year.

And here is our main tree in our family room. It doesn’t really have a theme, but I love it.

I love these ornaments. I have four that look similar but say different things. I bought them at a christian book store on sale after Christmas one year.

Some of our Disney ornaments.

Emma’s favorite princess.

Emma’s first Christmas ornament.

Wesley’s first Christmas ornament.

Some of my ornaments from when I was a baby.

Some other family favorites.

Emma’s little footprint from her first Christmas.

Our stockings.

When I bought these I ordered an extra red one and green one, so we will have one for the new baby next year.

This Santa belonged to my Granny. The story is that I was terrified of it when I was little. So I inherited it when she passed away. He is sitting in the rocking chair my Papaw made for me when I was liitle.

This is how we display our Christmas cards, however it doesn’t hold very many and it’s hard to see all of them, so I’m trying to come up with something else.

I have a small Dept. 56 village collection but I don’t have a great place to display them so I have them kind of scattered around the house.

I better get to work getting ready for tomorrow.

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

Our little shepherd

by Adrienne on December 23, 2009

Wesley’s school Christmas play was a couple of weeks ago and he was a shepherd. He didn’t have a speaking part, but he did get to do a little acting. ;)

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flock by night.

Luke 2:8

I thought the tree on stage was beautiful.

Emma loved watching her brother on stage. She tried her best to sing along to all the songs. (So cute.) She also enjoyed the pretty decorations at the church.

Christmas at Dollywood

by Adrienne on December 20, 2009

Last week my Mom and I took the kids to Dollywood.  It was very cold, but we all bundled up and had a great time!

Emma all bundled up and looking cute in her pink coat.

I thought this picture was funny. She was mad about the seat belt.

We saw the show “Twas the night before Christmas”. The kids loved it!

Wesley’s favorite thing was the Polar Express 4D ride. Emma and I got to sit in the non motion seats. She wouldn’t wear the 3D glasses, but she thought it was hilarious that I was wearing them.

The lights at Dollywood are so beautiful and I wish I had taken more pictures, but we had a lot of stuff we were trying to fit in to our visit. I’m hoping that we can make it back over there one more time before they close.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

I have to start out by showing you my early Christmas present. Ta Da… We got a new Mac Book for each other for Christmas. I have to share it with Eric. He will be using it when he travels for his business. Our old laptop was Eric’s in law school and it needed to [...]

Merry Christmas from the Reagans!

We had two attempts this year at Christmas card photos. The first one was a total disaster. I thought it would be cute to do a picture with the kids in front of the fire place with their stockings. We gave up after one hour, 5 meltdowns, and me almost in tears. We kept the [...]

Emma’s birthday party and SNOW!

Emma had a wonderful birthday.  We had a little cake for her on Friday night and sang Happy Birthday to her. mmmm cake! Saturday morning we woke up to SNOW!  The kids were very excited! (Please exscuse my horrible camera skills.) We had  Minnie Mouse themed party with mostly just family. We had mini quiche, [...]

Happy Birthday Emma!

Yesterday was Emma’s birthday, but I didn’t have a chance to blog all day. I was too busy getting ready for her party which was today. I’ll be posting some pictures later of her party. We had a great time. I have to admit this birthday was a little hard for me. I mean I [...]
