Our Weekend.

by Adrienne on January 31, 2011

What a wonderful weekend!! Started out on Friday evening with a fun date with my husband.  I am so thankful that he makes date nights for us, a priority.  I’m also thankful for our family members that help us by watching the kids.  Ava went with us this time, but she was so good for us! Yay!

Saturday Eric’s Mom and stepdad came over had lunch with us and went shopping with us. We always have a great time visiting with them when they come in town.

Earlier this week my friend Melissa gave Emma all of her daughter’s Disney princess dresses.  Emma was over the moon excited!  We had also been given a few dresses from cousin Ella.  She now has a pretty impressive collection.  She has so many dresses that we had to add a rack to her closet!

How much fun is this?!

I would’ve loved to have dress up clothes like this when I was a little girl!

Ava can’t wait until she can wear them too!

Ava and Emma Pocahontas playing in the princess closet.

I love her face in this picture.

Emma got some new lip gloss from Mimi ( Eric’s Mom), and she had to try out every flavor.

Wesley didn’t seem interested in hanging out in the princess closet with us.

He is such a good sport about all the girly stuff that goes on. He is an awesome big brother!

Today was so gorgeous outside! We took the kids out to ride scooters over to the park. Emma got her scooter for Christmas and was so excited that it was finally warm enough to ride it!

The scooter kids.

Cutie!

When we got to the park Ava had her first swing ride.

She loved it!

Can i just point out how cute she is? ( Thank you Mimi for the new outfit!)

She is 8 months old today!

Some stuff.

by Adrienne on January 28, 2011

I have to start off with this cute picture of my girls!  I just love it when they are fresh out of the tub, all lotioned up, and in their warm and cozy pajamas.

Thanks to Gammy and Papaw for the matching PJ’s

One of our favorite things to do is go to the aquarium.  Emma really loves it right now.  She talks about is all the time. We used to take Wesley all the time when he was her age.

I’ve mentioned before that we love going at night.  One of the many great things about homeschooling.

Here are some pics of our most recent trip.

I love these things! They are called leafy sea dragons. So amazing.

Ava is 7 months old

by Adrienne on January 19, 2011

Ava Charlotte is 7 months old! ( Mommy is so behind on blogging!)

Ava turned 7 months old on Dec. 30th.

She is such a big girl now!

At 7 months Ava. . .

  • Is sitting up all by herself!
  • Is pulling up in her crib.
  • Says “Dada” and “Hi”.
  • Waves hello and bye bye.
  • Wears a size 9 months.
  • Wears a size 3 diaper.
  • Still nurses a lot. (We are having a hard time getting her to eat baby food.)
  • Has two teeth.

I can’t believe how much she has changed in a month! While Eric was gone to Vegas she started saying Dada. The other night she looked at him and said “Dada Hi”.  It was the cutest thing ever!  She is so cute and chubby, and I can’t get enough of her fat cheeks!

I left her with Eric on Saturday so that I could go to an extreme couponing workshop at our church.  I was so worried because I’ve only left her one other time.  She did great!  She took a really long nap, and I’m pretty sure Eric took one with her. ;)

She has really enjoyed playing with the toys that she got for Christmas.  She loves this Fisher Price vintage clock.

She also loves her piano.

And much to our surprise we found her Sophie the giraffe.

This afternoon, Eric and Wesley went to see the movie Tron.  We had some fun girl time.

Also, we have an announcement.

I am so happy to announce that Emma is officially POTTY TRAINED!!!!

WOO HOO!!!

I am so proud of her!

Baby Caedmon. . . and some snow pictures.

by Adrienne on January 12, 2011

Our best pals the Giffords welcomed their brand new baby boy Caedmon Cross Gifford very early Monday morning.  I finally got to get my hands on him today!

Can you see his dimples?  Oh the dimples!  Two big dimples right smack in the middle of each cheek!!  They are ridiculous!

Sonda (his Mommy) has had to be on bed rest for the past ten weeks. Everyone thought he would for sure be born early.  He had everyone fooled, and came on his due date.  Little stinker.

So we got some snow.

I read somewhere today that every state, except Florida, has reported some snow on the ground (even Hawaii).

So here are some pictures of our snow. I would like to say that I do plan on purchasing some proper snow gear for my children, because as you will see in the pictures, they are in desperate need.

Ava had a runny nose so we stayed inside and played with puzzles, and made some chilli.  She was kind of sad about that.

Eric was in Las Vegas last week for work , and we are SO happy to have him back home!!

Christmas Day

by Adrienne on January 5, 2011

This was such a fun Christmas with the kids!  Wesley was so excited that he went to bed really early and then, couldn’t sleep.  I think  he finally went to bed around midnight. Emma is at a really fun age.  She didn’t remember last Christmas so every time I told her we were going to open presents she would ask, “again?!”  Ava was just adorable and tried to open presents, but really was just interested in the bows.

They went for the stockings first.

She was a little excited about her Sing-a-ma-jig!

Pillow Pets!

This is Ava’s “Sophie the giraffe”. This was her favorite toy, that we lost at Chick-fil-a.  Another one is on it’s way to our house.

Emma’s favorite present was her doll house!   She plays with it all the time!

Wesley’s favorite present was his Batmobile!

We went to my Mom’s for lunch on Christmas Day, and then to my Mamaw’s for dinner. Sadly, we have video but, no pictures.  I’m not sure how that happened.  I guess we were just tired.
