Last night we took the kids to Chuck E. Cheese. We were supposed to go to Dollywood, but the yucky cold and rainy weather changed our plans.

Emma hasn’t been to Chuck E. Cheese since she was a baby, so she thought it was pretty cool.

This was Ava’s first trip.

We try to avoid this place on the weekends, because it is so crowded and I usually end up on the verge of a panic attack before I leave. However, on a weekday it’s pretty pleasant.

I have to brag on Wesley. He gave Emma all of his tickets so that she could get a better prize. What a sweet brother!

This morning at church we had Ava dedicated to the Lord.

She wore the dress that Emma was dedicated in.
(This is Emma)

My friend Ashley took these great pictures during the service. Thanks Ashley!

Ava slept the entire time. I was glad. I was so worried that she would cry while Pastor McGinnis was holding her.

I love our pastor so much.

Our family. Lovely how Ava is pulling Wesley’s hair. Ha!

After church we went to P.F. Changs for lunch.
Ava was pretty excited as you can see.

Emma and Daddy coloring.

Maa and Wesley.

My Mom and Stepdad.

Eric and his baby girl.

Ava was presented with a Bible and a certificate.

What a special day for Ava and our family!
“I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give her to the LORD. For her whole life will be given over to the LORD.”

Saturday afternoon we had a fun cousin get together! This is Eric’s mom’s side of the family. Lori Burnett hosted, and had all of the ladies in the family over to her beautiful home!
This is Maa (Emma) and her sister Charlotte.

All of the daughters and granddaughters.

The daughters

Ava Charlotte and her Great Aunt Charlotte.

Maa blessing the food.

We had some really delicious food! I ate sooo much!

We had such a fun time eating, laughing, telling stories and catching up.

I feel so blessed to have married into such an incredible family!

Ava Charlotte is 9 months old!

Ok, so she is actually much closer to 10 months than nine, but Mommy has been very busy! (I even forgot to do an 8 month post.)
At 9 months:
- Ava is crawling now!
- She says Dada, Hi, and Bye Bye. I think she has tried to say baby. No mama yet.
- She pulls up.
- She loves to be outside!
- She loves to be read to!
- Ava doesn’t eat baby food. We have tried everything, but she HATES it! She has tried some table food. We are hoping that she will start to eat better soon, because it makes it hard for me to do anything without her. I can count the number of times I’ve been somewhere without her on one hand. It’s not that I want to be away from her, but there are times when it would make things a lot easier if someone else could watch her.
- Ava weighs 18 lbs 10 oz. and is in the 45th percentile for weight. She is 26 1/2 inches long and is in the 24th percentile for height.
- She does this really funny fake laugh. It’s so cute.
- She has 3 teeth. All on the bottom.
- She also growls a lot. SO FUNNY
- She blows kisses.
- She wears a size 12 months and a size 3 diaper.

Ava is so happy, and such a sweet baby.

She was very busy when I was taking these pictures.

I wish time would slow down just a little bit!

Today was my sister Heather’s bridal shower.
Heather is the red head on the left. Aren’t my sisters gorgeous?!

I was so excited about the cupcakes from Magpies!

We went with the “H” theme for Heather’s new last name.

Another awesome sign made by my friend Ashley.

I just love “shower food”. Chicken salad sandwiches, cucumber sandwiches, fresh fruit, veggies, mini quiche and deli spirals, they are all some of my favorites!

My Aunt Teresa graciously agreed to host the shower. ( Somehow I didn’t get a picture of her.) She lives in a loft apartment on Gay Street in downtown Knoxville. It is so beautiful!

The Mother of the Bride and Mother of the Groom.

Olivia stole the show. She loved having all eyes on her. Cutie pie!

Heather was blessed with some wonderful gifts!

I LOVE her dishes!

And of course, we had to pose for some group photos.

It was such a fun day!

Most of anyone who reads this blog, knows that Eric spent 10 days in Chile. He got home on Saturday afternoon. To say that I am glad to have him home is a HUGE understatement! I am so glad he was able to go. You can read more about his trip here.
The sign the kids made for Eric.

Eric brought back some gifts for the kids.
Wesley in his University of Chile hat.

The dolls he brought Emma and Ava.

He also brought them some finger puppets.

And, he brought Emma this adorable dress. He couldn’t find one in Ava’s size.

This week Wesley has testing. I am definitely more nervous about this than he is. ( He told me he thinks it’s fun.)
Ava is having a VCUG on Thursday morning to see if she has something called V U reflux. We are praying she doesn’t, and really not looking forward to the test, because it is apparently pretty horrible.
Saturday is my sister Heather’s bridal shower and I am really looking forward to that! I can’t believe that her wedding is just 4 weeks away!
Stay tuned for more updates!
