I always love seeing cute pictures of babies playing in the bathtub. My Mom even has some pictures of all of us as babies playing together in the bathtub hanging up in her bathroom.
I panicked tonight when I realized I don’t have any bath tub pictures of the girls!
Problem solved.

Do you like the strategically placed ponies? Haha!

Here are the bath tub pictures we had made of each of the kids. They are 9 months old in these pictures.

Last Friday we went to Worship in the City. My friend Sonda had heard that they had a kids pavilion with games and crafts so we decided to check it out.

Right when we got there we saw Bob and Larry!

Emma and Ava were not in the mood to meet Veggie Tales.

Wesley and Wyatt playing a game in the kids pavilion. It had to have been about 120 degrees in these tents. No airflow. No fans. Miserable. I felt so sorry for the workers.

Emma and Elliott making fruit loop necklaces.

Sweet sweaty little girls.

We had to cool off with some ice cream.
Yum.

The girls got their faces painted.

And the boys got tattoos.

After an hour or so we had to call it a day because it was SO HOT! But first, the kids cooled off in the fountains.

Ahhhhhhhh.

Wish we could have made it to some of the concerts. Maybe next year. . .

Saturday was Wesley’s birthday party. We like to stretch birthdays out for as long as possible around here. We had decided to have it at his Karate school (Dojo). The kids had a great time and Wesley told us that it was his favorite birthday party.
They started out the party with fun games and obstacle courses.

The kids playing “ninja ball”.

Pizza time!

The whole crew.

Happy Birthday Wesley!

It was such a fun day!

Thanks to everyone who was able to make it out to the party!

Monday was the first day at Reagan Christian Academy. Overall, it went pretty well. It’s just going to take us a week or so to get in the flow. Last year we used all Abeka for our curriculum, but this year we are using Switched On Schoolhouse which is a CD-Rom based curriculum. It’s also what the Duggars use. We are still using Abeka for Language Arts and Math.
So far Wesley and I both LOVE S.O.S.

I’ve also started some school with Emma this year. We are using Brightly Beaming which is a letter of the week online preschool curriculum. It’s a really great resource and it’s FREE! We are learning about the letter A, cows, the color green, and our shape this week is a square. Because she’s only three, I am really laid back about it and she decided she wanted to make “feelings” like she had seen on Barney. So that’s what we did!

Here are her “feelings”.

Here are the official first day of school photos.
My preschooler.

My third grader.

Today was Emma’s first day at Mother’s Day Out.
I was really nervous about how she was going to do, so I thought I’d get a gift for her to give her teacher. Emma’s “Love Language” is gifts, so I knew she’d be excited to give it to her teacher. ( She was!)

My little school girl.

Emma with her teacher Ms. Donna.

Ready to play!

When I came in her classroom to pick her up, she acted like she didn’t want to leave ! She told me all about her day and her new friends! Our neighbors Addie and Sadie are in the four year old class and when I asked her if she had seen them at school she said yes that she saw them in her “dining room class”. I thought that was an adorable name for the cafeteria!
We went for frozen yogurt with our friends the Whaleys after school. It was Tristan’s first day too! We were all celebrating a tear free (Moms and kids) first day!

Last week Wesley had his first stripe test in Karate. You start out with a white belt and once you get 4 yellow stripes you can test to get your yellow belt. It goes up from there and of course the ultimate goal is to make it to black belt!
Wesley taking his test. He was all business!

Getting his stripe!

Congratulations Wesley! We are very proud of you!

Today was my little boy’s 9th birthday ! He is half way to being an adult!
We had a really fun day today! This morning Wesley went to his Friday classes that he is taking this year. He is taking Art and Science. He got to hang out with his best bud Wyatt, who is taking the same classes. When the classes were over we headed to lunch with the Giffords. We let Wesley pick the restaurant and he chose McAlisters.
Wesley and Wyatt.

Emma and Elliott BFFs.

Sweet little cheeto-face Ava.

Baby Cade.

When we got home we had a surprise gift for Wesley.
His very first camera!

He was very excited! It also just happens to be his favorite color.

This afternoon Grandmommy, Grandaddy, and Uncle Adam came by to give Wesley his birthday present.

We headed to Wasabi for dinner. This has been a tradition since he was four!

We all wore blue today for Wesley’s birthday.

I made his favorite dessert, chocolate eclair cake.

Happy Birthday Wesley!
