Here are my little cuties.

Wesley the Ninja.

Cowgirl Emma.

And Ava as Minnie Mouse.

Ava hasn’t been feeling well, so she stayed at home with her Daddy tonight.

Wesley, Emma and I met some friends and went to Maa’s church for their annual Fall festival.

They had food, inflatables, a petting zoo, carnival games, cotton candy, popcorn, s’mores, and of course candy!! We had so much fun and we stayed until we were almost frozen. ( It was cold!!) Hope everyone had a fun and safe night!

This year the kids asked if we could carve pumpkins. I hadn’t carved a pumpkin since I was a little girl. Wesley requested a Batman pumpkin and Emma wanted a Minnie Mouse. To be fair, we had to carve one for Ava too.

Here is a close-up of Emma’s pumpkin. I was pretty proud of myself.
Since Eric was out of town, I recruited my stepdad to carve Wesley’s.

Today, we went over to my Mom’s to celebrate my niece Olivia’s 2nd birthday.

Cousin Emma was right there by her side the whole time. ( Just in case she needed some help.)

She loved her new Tangled book!

And her new Cabbage Patch doll from Grandmommy and Grandaddy!

Ava REALLY enjoyed her cupcake! Ha!

Happy Birthday Olivia! We love you!

Through the years. . .
2002- Mommy’s little sweet pea

2003- Our little pumpkin ( Costume made by my stepmother Belinda aka Gammy.)

2004- My little puppy.

2005- Howdy!

2006- Argh matey!

Eric and I bought matching costumes for a grown-up party we went to. (Dorks.)

2007- Peter from Narnia ( My favorite costume of Wesley’s)

Emma was a bun in the oven.

2008- My little Emmabug. Wesley was a jedi this year, but I can’t seem to find a picture. This was the year that my sister Megan got married on Nov. 1st so her rehearsal dinner was on Halloween.

2009- Wesley was Bobba Fett ( from Star Wars) and Emma was a ladybug again because she refused to wear her bumble bee costume.

2010- The girls were both Cinderella ( we referred to them as Cinderemma and Cinderava) and Wesley was Batman. I think Eric was taking pictures for the church and I didn’t have much success getting a good pic.

- I love this picture of Emma. I can’t believe how big she is getting. She is so smart and talks like a grown-up. The other night Ava was in her crib crying. ( I’ve been trying to let her cry it out a little.) I kept hearing little footsteps upstairs. When Ava fell asleep I went upstairs to check on her and discovered that Emma had put all of her princess dolls in Ava’s crib. She can’t stand to hear her sister cry.

- My girls are OBSESSED with the show Caillou. I mean really.

- Eric is getting ready to go on a trip and I’m really dreading him leaving.
- I started my Christmas shopping this past weekend. Tonight I saw some outdoor Christmas decorations! That is definitely a record! I’m looking forward to decorating for Christmas though.

- I have a weird thing about things being upside down. It really bothers me. Can you spot what is driving me nuts in this picture of Wesley?
- I went to a class at the Resource Fair this summer that was for homeschoolers who were just getting started. It was a really great class, and the lady that taught the class ( a well-seasoned home-schooling mom) suggested that you should have one day a week that you stay home all day. I have been trying to do that, and even though we haven’t been able to stick with it every week, I think it may be the best advice I’ve heard!
- Emma was introduced to “Squinkies” this week. We ended up getting her some and she has played with them non-stop!
- I’m really feeling in the mood to paint something. I may have to make a trip to Lowe’s tomorrow.
- Ava had a check-up at our new pediatricians office last week. In the waiting room, there was a lady with a 6 month old baby girl. I had to step out to go to the front desk for some paper work and I overheard Wesley say to the lady, “When they are that little it’s fun because you can just kiss them whenever you want and they can’t do anything about it.” He is seriously the sweetest big brother ever!

We have had a great long weekend!
Friday we headed over to Eric’s Mom and stepdad’s house to visit. We met Maa for dinner at Cracker Barrel on the way there. It was incredibly delicious as usual.

Saturday we took some portraits of Emma. I’m embarrassed to say that these are really her 3 year portraits. She will be 4 in less than two months. At least we go them taken, and I absolutely love how they turned out!
This is my favorite.

Isn’t she gorgeous?
Eric’s mom fed us well. We left her house totally stuffed. Emma and Ava especially enjoyed the brownies.

It was such a beautiful day. The kids played outside all day.
Mimi and her girls.

My sweet boy.

Wesley was so glad to see Reese.

It was a great weekend in the country.
Today we took a day off of school and headed over to Dollywood. What can I say? We just really like that place.

I have really enjoyed my family this weekend!

Yesterday we went to my Mom’s for dinner. Megan was in town for a visit. She has some very exciting news! She and Jason will be welcoming a little Pegram in May! We are all very excited! Megan is already such an awesome aunt, we know that she’ll be an amazing Mommy.

The kids were so cute playing together.

It seems like every time I try to take a picture of this little stinker she is too busy to hold still.

This afternoon the kids and I made Fall cookies.

It was really fun even though I messed up the recipe by putting in too much butter. At least butter is delicious.

We baked and decorated over 2 dozen cookies.

Working hard.

A sampling of our best work.
