My Valentines

I’m pretty sure this has been the best Valentine’s day that I’ve ever had.  Sunday, we celebrated with the kids.  Emma and I baked some cookies Sunday afternoon.  We wore our matching aprons.

We had some Valentine gifts for the kids.

Ava was in LOVE with her new Caillou doll.  She kept making out with it.

Ava also wanted to brush and brush and brush her brother’s hair.

It was so adorable that we took a video of it. ( Sorry, it’s kind of long.)

Eric and I celebrated Valentine’s day Monday night.  My dad and stepmom volunteered to come over and hang out with the kids so that we could get away for a night.  We are so very very grateful to them for taking that on!  This was the first time that Ava and I had been apart overnight.  We both did very well. 

Eric took me to The Inn at Christmas Place in Pigeon Forge.  It may seem weird to go to a Christmas themed hotel for Valentine’s day, but if you know me you understand that it was absolutely perfect.

This is the lobby of the hotel.  Everything was decorated for Christmas.  It was so pretty, and there was even a Christmas tree in our room.

This is the clock or “glockenspeil” that is above the fireplace.  It plays a Christmas song every hour, and Santa comes out of the top.

We went to dinner across the street at The Partridge and Pear restaurant.  The food was absolutely amazing, and we practically had the entire restaurant to ourselves.  It was so quiet that we were actually whispering.  So nice.

We had such a fun and romantic time.  We were glad to come back home to our little sweeties though.  (Isn’t Emma’s outfit hilarious?  She picked it out herself.)

I feel very blessed and thankful for all of the loves in my life.
