Happy 10th Birthday Wesley!

by Adrienne on August 20, 2012

Yesterday, my baby boy turned 10! How can that be?!

We started out the day by celebrating with some birthday waffles.  I had planned on making him breakfast in bed, but he woke up before I had it ready.

We have a tradition of going to Wasabi for Wesley’s birthday each year.  We have been every year since he was 4.

Ava was not a fan of the fire and smoke.

Happy Birthday Wesley!

I tried to get a picture of all of the kids.  Ava is screaming because it was starting to rain.

After dinner we came home for cake and ice cream.

I had seen this cake months ago on Pinterest and I knew that I had to make one for Wesley.  Kit Kats and M&Ms are two of his favorites!

The cake was a hit!

Wesley asked for an ipod touch for his birthday.  When they announced that a new one was coming out in September he said he wanted to wait for that one.  We put a picture of one in his card.  ;)

Aunt Heather, Uncle Blake and Olivia gave him a neat Pirateology book.

Beyblades from Grandmommy, Grandaddy and Uncle Adam.

Halo action figures from Emma and Ava.

Eric and I got him the complete set of Lemony Snicket’s “A Series Of Unfortunate Events”.  There are 13 books and he’s only read the first two.  I don’t think he’ll be running out of things to read for a while.

He also got money from Mimi and Papaw, Gammy and Papaw and Maa.

I have to share a picture of the most beautiful rainbow that we saw yesterday evening.  It was seriously the prettiest rainbow I have ever seen! The picture doesn’t do it justice.

Happy 10th birthday Wesley!

This is a nice post. Kind of like something you would put in a scrapbook or baby book back in the olden days.
